Active Barriers
Active barriers are essential to any project in the security industry. For any location needing vehicular access it is important to have an active system that is reliable. Factors to consider are cycle times, mode of operation (electric or hydraulic), and the number of vehicles entering/exiting per day.
The Bad Day active barriers range from bollards to wedge barriers, crash gates and crash arms. They also come in different ratings from low rated models designed to stop a 5,000lbs vehicle at 30mph, to K12 (M30) capable of stopping at 15,000lbs vehicle at 50MPH. The crash rating and style of the barrier changes depending on the site specifications as well as the specific type of application.
Wedge Barriers
The Bad Day Wedge Barrier provides the highest security and extreme reliability. The unique IP68 rated (waterproof) motor design ensures extreme environmental conditions (e.g., water, ice, salt, and sand) do not interfere with the barrier operation. The Bad Day Wedge Barrier is ASTM certified M50P1 with zero penetration. After a full crash test the barrier will remain in upright secured position capable of withstanding another crash. The barrier is available in widths from 8’ to 15’ with multiple color options.
Crash Arms
The Bad Day crash arm is the perfect solution for entry/ exit points. Crash arms come with either manual or automated operation based on the frequency of use and desired application. Crash arms can come in vertical lift or swing arms and range in stopping power from a 5,000 pound vehicle at 30 mph to a 15,000 pound vehicle at 50 mph (K12/M50).
Crash Gates
Crash Gates are a staple in the security industry. Both cost effective as well as having the ability to cover a wide range between anti-vehicular and anti-personnel security, Crash Gates are a great addition to many projects. The Bad Day Crash Gate can be built to match the surrounding area and adjacent fencing. The with its cantilever design, the Bad Day Gate has no track or wheels across the entryway which helps it adapt to any environment.

Passive Barriers
The Bad Day fixed and shallow bollard are commonly utilized for passive application around a facility or to complement one of our active barrier systems. These bollards can come in low ratings capable of stopping a 4,000 pound vehicle at 30 mph up to stopping a 15,000 pound vehicle at 50 mph (K12/M50). Shallow bollards can be used when underground obstructions prohibit from digging three to five feet in the ground.
Fixed Bollards
The Bad Day Fixed and Shallow Bollards are used for passive applications around facilities or to complement one of our active barrier systems. These bollards come in multiple ratings capable of stopping a 4,000 pound vehicle at 30 mph, or capable of stopping a 15,000 pound vehicle at 50 mph.
